We offer a
delicious breakfast
buffet to at our
poolside restaurant
or in the downstairs
when the weather is
a little wetter. Our
menu highlights
fresh baked breads,
and specialties of
Costa Rica, fresh
fruits and fruit
juices and an
American style
breakfast menu laced
with local
specialites. Healthy
and vegetarian
options are
available.
Poolside Lunch
at the Sunset Grill
Lunch and dinner
are served poolside
an international
menu from Pastas and
fish to Nachos and
burgers. All options
are reasonably
priced and the
variety is
sufficient for all
tastes. There is a
children’s menu.
Rinconcito
Tipico
This is our
offering to help you
experience a taste
of traditional Costa
Rican foods. Many
local favorites such
as
picadillos(sautéed
veggies with spices,
a touch of meat or
not, served with
tortillas),
Vigarones or
Chicharones(meat
specialties of the
area that are NOT
generally available
in the local
restaurants) and
other favorites are
available so you can
try a taste of the
real Costa Rica.
The drink menu in
Rinconcito Tipico is
only liquors made
here in Costa Rica ,
give it a try! In
Rinconcito Tipico it
is common that we
hold cultural
events, art shows or
other activities
that support local
culture and artists.
Many of these
events support the
local community or
are for the benefit
of the foundation we
sponsor.
During rainier
seasons we serve
both menus both
upstairs and
downstairs for your
convenience!
The Hotel
California is in
Manuel Antonio,
Costa Rica. It is
also near Quepos (it
is situated on a
hill between the
two). It is a 3 1/2
hour drive from San
Jose, and the flight
is less than half an
hour.
Boruka Bar
Our poolside
Borruca Bar features
hand painted murals
by the Borruca, a
local indigenous
tribe who are famous
for their
handcrafts. In the
bar we sell colorful
masks made by the
tribe as well as
woven bags and other
items.
Their culture is
in a transition and
we try to support
their efforts to
maintain their
culture and way of
life by selling
their artworks and
supporting their
efforts in other
ways.
The bar sells
tropical fruit
drinks,
international
liquors, beer and
wine as well as soft
drinks, snacks and
other foods.
