This new horseback riding journey will surprise even the most seasoned equestrian with its beauty – as you ride through four Sicilian parks: the Madonie, Nebrodi, Etna and Alcantara. The itinerary from Cefalù to Taormina is characterized by an evocative landscape, a mixture of history, culture and traditions.
Through the ancient “Regia Trazzera” across the “Madonie” park – you will follow old trails where Sicilian "Cowboys" used to drive their herds from winter mountain pastures to summer lowland pastures - and onward to the “Nebrodi” and to the slopes of Mt. Etna.
As you ride your horse across the beautiful Sicilian landscape and the wind rustles through the forest, you catch sight of winding rivers and perhaps a glimpse of a herd of wild boars that roam undisturbed through these lands.
