Hidden Trails Newsletter August 2009
It has been a while since our last
Newsletter. What has happened ? What is new ?
The economy is still lagging, but we can see signs of improvements, which
relates into more sales and now we are starting to encounter problems with space
- many popular trips are sold out for the summer. So now is the time to reserve
your seat in the saddle on one of our Fall trips in Central or South America --
some excellent trips are waiting for you and most trips are based on the US$ -
so no exchange rate issues.
Much has been made about the "Swine Flu" - especially in Mexico. What a
shame. It really has hurt our Mexican partners and it was so not-necessary. None
of the regions where our rides are located -- had anyone that contracted this
flu -- personally I think -- it was all a big hype. Sure we need to prepare for
new viruses and we need to protect ourselves -- but is it really necessary to
fill the news for 24 hours with generalizations ? The UK has had many people
catch it - and nobody is suggesting that we do not travel to England.
Mexico: The good news is that travel to Mexico has never been as inexpensive ! Currently
we have a Special Offer for the "Colores
de Mexico" ride for $895 all inclusive accommodations, all gourmet meals,
wine with dinner, and 6 full days of horseback riding - and some of the best

Chile
We are still looking for some participants in our amazing Atacama Desert Ride in northern Chile from Oct 8 to 17 -- a 10-day expedition.
Ecuador
We are still looking for some participants in our extravagant Colonial Haciendas Ride in the highlands of Ecuador. Stay at historic places and ride on well trained horses. We have 3 riders confirmed and need 1 more for August 29 to September 5
Italy
The Alta Tuscany Ride in Italy is currently available for only $1,375 ($340 discount) !! with lodging at the castle Castello Cristina.
India

Dublin Horse Show
From August, 5th to the 9th, 2009 the Fáilte Ireland Dublin Horse Show
will take over the entire RDS complex in the heart of Dublin. The Failte
Ireland Dublin Horse Show is a Dublin institution. A celebration of
Ireland's affinity with the horse, from the best show horses to the best
international show jumpers. It is one of Ireland's largest events, a highlight
of the summer, each year welcoming tens of thousands of people from Ireland and
all over the world.

Festival
Music, theater, dance and exhibitions set in superb surroundings!

plenty of singing, dancing and horse shows, and all overseen by King Puck - a
goat! The most unusual of street festivals around!

A massive party celebrating romance!

Aug 16th - 26th: Fleadh Cheoil
A huge celebration of Irish music, dance and arts, with over 10,000 musicians

2009 in Tullamore in County Offaly, Ireland.
