DAY 1:   ARRIVAL   Serrameta’ – Modica

We meet you upon your arrival at Catania Airport and transfer you, by private car/minivan, directly to the Agriturismo Serrameta in Modica (2 hrs drive). In the afternoon, our assistant, will bring you bikes and detailed informative documents about your tour. They provide, in addition at the road book, information about places to go and things to do. Dinner is included at farm.
DAY 2:   MODICA – RAGUSA IBLA

This morning’s cycling takes you to the beautiful historical centre of Modica. You  can also enjoy a tasting of specialty  Modican Chocolate. It is one of the best appreciated products of the Sicilian pastry. In the afternoon, you explore the fine Baroque building Ibla. You back to Serrameta farm for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3:  THE IBLEI HIGHPLANE TO PALAZZOLO ACREIDE
Today’s cycling takes you further from Modica to ancient Akrai, in the heart of the Iblean mountains. The Ilbei high plane to Palazzolo ride along a breathtaking road through provide an itinerary suitable for both nature and arts lovers. The dry-stone wall, bordering and criss-crossing the fields of the province, is another major feature. Dinner at farm is included.
DAY 4:  PALAZZOLO ACREIDE
Today you pedal to  Palazzolo and vicinity. This evening, after a short transfer by car, take you to the city center of Palazzolo. No dinner at farm this evening. Optional, we can reserve a table at local restaurant.  For interesting sites in Palazzolo and how to get there please read the Miscellaneous section on Palazzolo. 
Alternative Detour: A short detour allows excursionists to reach the city of Buscemi, with a highly panoramic view. Buscemi – It is a small agricultural village, with an unusual and interesting museum known as I Luoghi del Lavoro Contadino, its rooms scattered across the centre of the town. These eight rooms provide a picture of the life and work of the Iblean people. They include the blacksmith’shop, the oil-mill (where scenes of Lavia’s La Lupa were filmed), a farmer’s and a laborer’s house, the shoemaker’s and the carpenter’s shops, the millstone (where the pressing of grape took place) and, next to this, a room accommodating a small film-library. There visitors can enjoy the projection of a short film on the activities of the past set into the different rooms of the museum. The eighth room, located at Palazzolo Acreide, consists of the water-mill (Mulino di S. Lucia). A small Museum of The Wheat Grinding has been set up inside.
DAY 5: CAVAGRANDE NATURE RESERVE – AVOLA
Today’s cycling provide you the opportunity of exploring a corner of the Iblei Mountain landscapes dominating the southeast part of Sicily. A stop for a trekking in the canyon of Cava grande is highly recommended. This itinerary off the beaten track will be of particular interest to nature-lovers. Leave the bike at the viewpoint from where there is a magnificent view over the Cava Grande Gorge (Belvedere) plunging down between impressively tall and sheer limestone cliffs.
DAY 6:   SIRACUSA
This morning you leave to Siracusa, about 20 km far from Avola Lido along a coastal itinerary. Before reaching Siracusa, it is possible, upon request, a kayaking option. Dinner at local ‘trattoria’ is included. 
DAY 7:   DEPARTURE
Private transfer, by minivan, from hotel Gutkowsky to Catania Airport. Have a safe trip home!
