The rugged route passes the craggy indentation of St Non’s Bay, and features breathtaking views of Ramsey Island – well known for its large and protected populations of marine wildlife.
Around the coast at St David’s Head, home to an Iron Age coastal fortress, noticeably fewer tourists populate the landscape. Here you’ll find the remains of the areas industrial past in the breath-taking beauty of the Blue Lagoon – an abandoned slate quarry - now linked to the sea by a narrow channel. The path continues through Porthgain around craggy Strumble Head, past the town of Fishguard, to trail’s end at Poppit Sands.
