What to Bring for Cranbrook Beckley's Cattle and Guest Ranch

 
A long-sleeved shirt and jeans are good for riding in, and some people like to wear tights underneath to decrease the chance of chafing.
Jeans are good for riding in and some people like to wear tights underneath their jeans to decrease the chance of chafing. “Wrangler” brand jeans are best.
For hiking, lightweight, waterproof hiking shoes or boots and walking shorts are suggests.
Bike or riding helmets are strongly recommended for children who will be riding.
- riding boot rentals are available on request for extra charge- inquire to Hidden Trails if needed.
- if you will be fly fishing - bring your fishing gear.

Riding pants or Jodhpurs (used if possible!)
Riding boots with a heel. We do have several pairs of boots in varying sizes available for you to borrow if you do not own any yourself. Please check in advance for the size.

Bring raincoat or slicker

Riding Level Explained
ABeginner
Beginner A rider who has limited experience, is unable to post the trot and does not canter.
BNovice
Novice A rider who is capable of mounting and dismounting unassisted, capable of applying basic aids, comfortable and in control at the walk, moderate length posting trots, and short canters.
CIntermediate
Intermediate A rider who has a firm seat, is confident and in control at all paces (including posting trots, two point canters and gallops), but does not ride regularly.
D Strong Intermediate
Strong Intermediate An intermediate rider who is currently riding regularly and is comfortable in the saddle for at least 6 hours per day.
EAdvanced
All of the above, plus an independent seat, soft hands, and capable of handlinga spirited horse in open country.
Lodging: Standard
Lodging Level Explained
