Climate for Judean Desert to the Dead Sea Ride


With a Mediterranean climate, Israel enjoys hot, rainless summers and relatively short, but rainy winters.
Summers are humid along the Mediterranean coast but dry in the central highlands and in the Negev Desert.
It does not rain from June through September, with July and August being the hottest months at 22-33°C (72-91°F) on average across the country.
More than 90% of the rainfall occurs between November and March, with January being the coldest month with temperatures ranging from 6-15°C (43 to 59°F).

Beginner A rider who has limited experience, is unable to post the trot and does not canter.
BNovice
Novice A rider who is capable of mounting and dismounting unassisted, capable of applying basic aids, comfortable and in control at the walk, moderate length posting trots, and short canters.
CIntermediate
Intermediate A rider who has a firm seat, is confident and in control at all paces (including posting trots, two point canters and gallops), but does not ride regularly.
D Strong Intermediate
Strong Intermediate An intermediate rider who is currently riding regularly and is comfortable in the saddle for at least 6 hours per day.
EAdvanced
All of the above, plus an independent seat, soft hands, and capable of handlinga spirited horse in open country.
Lodging: Standard
Lodging Level Explained
