Climate for Kilimanjaro Classic Ride

The climate is reversed from that of the Northern hemisphere. The summer months of December through February (equivalent to July and August in the North) are generally pleasantly hot, although rain can be expected at anytime. Temperatures vary greatly according to the weather, with daytime highs ranging from 15°C into the 30°'s centigrade, and overnight lows in the 10°'s C or 20°'s centigrade.
Winter months correspond to June through August when the weather is very dry and dusty, and temperatures are cool to cold (10°C to 20°C). After the rains (April-May and November) the land is green and full of flowers, the dry season can be very dusty but it is often the best time to see game. The altitude in the riding areas is from 1100 to 2000 meters above sea level.
