Panhandle Bar H Ranch

Panhandle Bar H Ranch
Texas USA

For three generations, the Hommel family have called this rugged and scenic land in the heart of the Texas Panhandle home.

For one relaxing week, wake up only to the songbirds outside your bedroom window  and not your alarm clock!  The sweet, savory smell of cowboy coffee will lure you out of  that comfy bed and you will be greeted with the chuck- wagon crew as they served you up a hearty Texas breakfast of eggs, sausage, hot biscuits and gravy!

Depending on the season you visit us, you will have the opportunity to watch the cowboys working the cattle, feeding the livestock, mending fence lines, and moving the herds. Here also engage in dozens of other ranch chores yourself - you can climb in the saddle and join in the work! If you would rather spend your day relaxing out on the pretty local trails, you can take a leisurely ride across the rolling prairie.  And when you are done, sit out on the porch by the pool, take a stroll along the creek, pitch horseshoes, play volleyball or wander down to the fishing hole. At the end of the day, you can watch a magnificent sunset settle across the broad Texas horizon. Mesquite-grilled steak and all the trimmings wait at the chuck wagon and homemade cobbler and a crackling campfire soothe the body and the mind as the crickets call and stars begin to twinkle in the big bold sky. Then retire back to the climate controlled and comfortable bunkhouse for a good night's sleep and dreams of what tomorrow will bring!

We also provide custom-made wagons tours of the ranch for guests who are not partial to a saddle!
