Green Mountain Getaway

Accomodations for Green Mountain Getaway

Accommodations
Majestically set on 350 acres in Vermont’s lush Green Mountains with sweeping views of a pristine mountain lake and an infinite expanse of National Forest, the Green Mountain getaway offers an endless array of outdoor activities. Ideal for both couples and families, there’s something for everyone. The main inn has a spacious lobby of post and beam construction, a stone fireplace and many antiques. The guest rooms are well appointed in the tradition of a mountain lodge with panoramic views. The regular package includes a Classic Lodge room lodging or one of our "rustic" Mountain Cabins. Upgrades are available to the Luxury Lodge Rooms or Suites. For larger groups of 4+ we can also offer multi-bedroom Chalet accommodations.

The Classic Lodge Rooms are decorated with a cozy, mountain lodge theme. These rooms offer a variety of bedding configurations to accommodate our guests' needs: two queen beds, two full beds, one queen bed or a queen bed and bunk beds.  All Classic Lodge Rooms have private bathrooms with full tubs or walk-in showers, cable television; most have a comfortable sitting area and writing desk.  Many of our Classic Rooms have been recently updated with new furnishings, bedding, carpet and more.  Guests who stay in our Classic Lodge rooms enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains and lake; or views of the scenic meadow, as you watch xc skiers and sleigh rides in winter or horseback riding in summer.

Sample Luxury Room -- Stags Run
The dramatic rough hewn timber bed with its ultra suede duvet is the center piece of this deer & moose themed room. Accents include leather wingback chairs, faux fur throws and pillows, warm red wallpaper and 9 foot barn beam ceiling. The furnishings include a desk, chair, bedside tables and armoire with cable television. Bathroom features include Kohler fixtures, whirlpool tub, granite counter top, tile floors and hair dryer. Kitchenette has microwave, refrigerator, sink and coffee maker.

Sample Suite  -- High Meadow
Perched high above the Meadow on the top floor of the Lodge with sweeping views that capture it all… the vast velvet meadow, across the tree tops to our crystal clear lake. Guests enter a warm and welcoming suite in the style of a stately country house. Inspired by nature’s color palette, High Meadow melds subtle floral, rich tartans and soft leathers.

The living room’s cozy Chesterfield loveseat sits opposite a dual-sided fireplace. The bedroom beckons with an impressive maple-carved king bed with decorative tin paneling. The separate living room has a kitchenette with a pub style table and is complete with a refrigerator, microwave, sink and coffee maker. The luxurious bathroom with old world subway tile in a warm sage has an inviting corner thermal massage tub, separate multi-head shower, marble flooring and handsome pine vanity.

Massage Therapy:
The Resort offers Massage Therapy as a restorative oasis designed with you in mind. Unwind, relax, de-stress and rejuvenate your skin and body with our array of massage therapy specialties. All massage services are customized to meet specific client needs and preferences. All are enhanced by the sounds of soothing music and flowing fountains. Pure essential oils are used to create a deeply relaxing experience, which detoxifies and improves circulation while balancing the mind and body.

Swedish Massage:
The Swedish massage, developed in the 1700's refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. The main purpose of the Swedish massage is to increase oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles.

Sports Massage:
This massage technique, specifically designed for athletes, is perfect to improve performance or to aid in recovery from injury or exertion. Sports massage improves circulation of blood and lymph fluids while increasing range of motion. The massage therapist uses techniques designed to benefit muscles by warming and softening tissue, realigning muscle fibers and flushing toxins from specific muscles. The sports massage is the perfect way for an athlete to improve their game or restore the body to peak performance.

Shiatsu Massage:
Shiatsu massage uses ancient techniques to alleviate physical stress while invigorating and centering the recipient spiritually. The goal of shiatsu is to strengthen the receiver's innate healing power by balancing the flow of ki energy along the meridians. Sometimes referred to as acupuncture without needles, the massage therapist uses their fingers to move currents of electromagnetic energy which may have become blocked throughout the body. The receiver may remain dressed in loose clothing while the practitioner applies light pressure along meridian points in accordance with the receiver's breath. Relax your body and renew your spirit with a shiatsu massage.

Deep Tissue:
Deep tissue massage, also known as Myofascial release or soft tissue mobilization, is often used to relax, lengthen, and alleviate stress held in the muscles. The massage therapist uses specific strokes at varying speeds to apply more intense pressure, stretching muscles and releasing stored tension. With deep tissue massage, the recipient can achieve better posture, more flexibility, fluid movement, and experience reduced pain and stiffness. This classic massage is a simple luxury to help you relax and escape the real world while you enjoy your vacation.

Hot Stone Massage:
The powerful meta-aesthetic energies of stones are known to promote harmonizing and cleansing effects on the body, allowing for a meditative state of quiet and calmness in the recipient. This therapy combines traditional massage techniques with the therapeutic powers of heat. Stones serve as thermal conductors bringing about local and systemic changes in the body. A very effective therapy to create harmony and a positive energy flow, hot stone massage can also have a positive influence on the mind/body balance. Our hot stone massage allows you to de-stress and become one with nature in the most beautiful of settings.
