Introduction
Wales Wales Cycling in Pembrokeshire
Pembrokeshire’s contrasting terrain is criss-crossed by an extensive network of quite country lanes, making it a great destination for cyclists of all abilities. There are also opportunities to enjoy traffic-free rides through some of the county’s spectacular scenery on both surfaced and un-surfaced tracks.
Choose to cycle the windswept moorlands and high peaks of the Preseli Hills, which are purported to be the cources for the Stonehenge bluestones, and are today dotted with the studios of artists and crafts people who draw inspiration from the area's natural landscape and numerous Neolithic monuments. Or explore gentler routes that lead to picturesque villages, quiet stretches of inland waterway, colourful fishing harbours and fine sandy beaches.

Explore the cobbled streets in the medieval walled town of Tenby, before continuing to Pembroke, where one of the finest examples of a Norman Castle in the United Kingdom towers over the attractive millpond, dotted with swans.
