Overseas riding holidays on
Western and Western Type Saddles
Western tack is mostly used on our rides in the Americas (North, Central and South), Australia and New Zealand, but in most other countries English or Trekking saddles are used. Here we have collected a list of trips that use Western Saddles or at least have a Western riding style.
Western Overseas horseback riding holidays.
We like to point out that the saddle itself is not a good indication of the type of riding style - many that use Western tack still post to the trot, prefer a two point canter and not all of the horses will neck reign. On the other hand most trips on English or Trekking saddles do not have a typical dressage type riding style either - most trips that have 4 to 6 riding hours will use a deeper type saddle, longer stirrup and many good trail horses will neck reign (sort of) ....
For those riders that prefer or are more comfortable to ride on Western Saddles, here is a collection of those rides that offer Western or Western type saddles in European and other overseas destinations.
