Enjoyed the most
The horses and the landscapes
Bothered you
To have to go outside in the cold to access the toilet! And I was sad to have only 2 hours on horse back the last day :-)
Horses were well trained, Horse drive was long days but very enjoyable, working ranch not a manufactured dude ranch experience
The landscape at and around the ranch and the food. Horses well trained and the opportunity to use spurs.
Back and forth driving from the ranch to the site of trailing horses. It is a bumpy dirt road and quite exhausting. Trailing horses on approx. 2 miles on paved roads is too much.
the riding, the farm
the way horses are treated
Learning how to round up and herd horses; walks, trots and exhilarating cantors.
I cannot think of any bother.

Hidden Trails return rider looking for different experiences.
Cookhouse - delicious meals gave riders strength and stamina to get work done. The ranch wranglers observed the high plains distant cattle and horse groups and shared the plans & scenarios with the guest riders. The plans spontaneously changed as cattle and horses select different directions. Riders’ spirits soar bringing herds under control (mostly with ranch wranglers’ help).
The scenic landscape, immersion into a working ranch, the amazing four generation family who live and work the ranch, opportunity to contribute to the ranch.
I was in a lot of pain after the first few hours of riding. I definitely wasn't prepared to put 9 hours in the saddle each day. That was my fault. But by far the thing that bothered me most was the complete lack of communication about what we would be doing each day. Other return guests told me about their frustration in this area, too, but they had learned to live with it. I understand the need for flexibility on a working ranch, but someone just needed to say something like, "We have breakfast each morning at 7 am and our schedule changes daily and hourly depending on the needs of the ranch. Be prepared to ride after breakfast." Then at breakfast, it would have been nice to hear, "Today we are going to move cattle...or gather mares and foals, or whatever." Instead, even the staff didn't know what we were doing or where we were going after we had started riding.
Enjoyed the mostOur cowboys, Jake and Sky, really made the entire trip worth while enough to want to do it again.

Comments: I have my own horses and professional jumper licence I like challenge in riding and it was done. Difficult terrain to ride specially for canters and faster gallops, but they were done as well as long time daily in saddle.

Bothered you: I would have liked camping but it's not very important
