Enjoyed the most

Picking a highlight is tough! The ranch accommodations were well-maintained and super comfortable, the food was over-the-top delicious, and the horses were extremely well-behaved and fun to ride. There was only one other guest for most of my stay, and I enjoyed talking to her, as well as the ranch hosts (Kevin & Louisa) and staff.

Bothered you

I arrived at the ranch a day late because of a cancelled airline flight. The ranch staff was incredibly flexible and made my unforeseen change of plans simple!

Comments

I work for an outfitter that used to run trips for Hidden Trails, and I've taken another Hidden Trails trip.

Enjoyed the most: The horses and terrain.

Bothered you: That I had to leave

Comments: I really appreciated the attenion to detail. They truly care about their animals. every ride was differnet and I especailly love the overnight ride.  The hosts were so gracious, the food outstanding, and the location superb. They tailored the rides to the riders and fulfilled every wish. A perfect riding holiday. My expectations were surpassed in every area.

Enjoyed the most: The gracious and interesting hosts and staff, comfortable accommodations, good food and wine, attempting to play polo, big sky, expansive views, a magical full moon night ride, riding a variety of good horses.

Bothered you: Louisa did take us on one really great faster ride, which we quite enjoyed, but generally the pace was a bit slow for me.

Comments: We were very lucky to have had a wonderful group of fellow riders and great weather.

Enjoyed the most: I enjoyed the riding and how we had different experiences each day ie. polo one morning, a moonlight ride one night, gaited horses on one ride and criollos on another. We did not know that liquor was INCLUDED in our one price...a nice surprise!

Bothered you: Nothing

Comments: Both the meals and the accommodations were very good, but a bit rustic which was not a problem.  We went for the riding and the overall experience which were both beyond our expectations.  We would certainly return and this time bring our husbands!

Enjoyed the most: The riding. Terrain was beautiful and the horses fantastic!

Bothered you: That we had to leave.

Comments: Our hosts, Robin, Teleri, and their 3 gorgeous children, were an unexpected highlight of our trip. And we were lucky enough to be staying there while Teleri's parents were visiting from England. Robin and Hazel Bligh are a lovely pair of good old British bookends. Will even look them up on our way to UK this summer. And the sweet Nikki (horse-helper) was a dream. It felt like we had known her for years. She was so competent in taking care of horses and riders. All of the gauchos are amazing riders and horsemen. The trip far exceeded our expectations. Can't wait to go back again.
