Enjoyed the most: The trail riding with the local wranglers - they were superb, carefully judging the riders' skills, keeping an eye on the group and checking equipment frequently. They worked very well together and were warm & friendly, despite the language barrier. The scenery was superb - as unspoiled and beautiful as I had hoped

Bothered you: Lack of information about the day's rides. I appreciate that itineraries are subject to change, but it would have been good to have some knowledge of where we were riding and what we were likely to see each day

The riding was extraordinary--the horses are incredibly sound and tough and comfortable (even though they're quite small), and the landscapes are unreal.

Bothered you

If anything bothered me it was my pre-trip anxiety over what to pack. Less is more--by day 2 everyone is so "road dirty" that no one cares that your shirt isn't exactly spotless. But irreplaceable items to have: good chaps, good rain jacket, water bottle, warm sleeping bag, sunscreen, sunglasses, sun visor (for over your helmet), and extra batteries (you'll want to take a million photos).

I cannot say enough good things about Mongolia, this tour, and the service provided by Hidden Trails. 
Mongolia is truly surprising, and incredible: a magical combination of rich culture and history, and beautiful simplicity. The trip was very well organized; our guide was incredibly knowledgeable; the horses were tough, handsome little nuggets; and the accommodations and food were excellent. I included the Naadam supplement, and I am SO GLAD that I did.

The scenery, the horses and our guides were all delightful. The quality of the tents and meals were above what I expected. All of the elements were there -- people, horses, scenery.
Our horses and guides were absolutely fantastic.  They made us feel welcome, well taken care of, safe and secure.

The landscape and the whole set-up with the camel-carts caravan was unique; overall it was one of the best if not the best horse back TRIPS I HAVE DONE

Enjoyed the most: The very good horses and no need for unnecessary precautions once we were safe in the saddles. The services were excellent on tour.

Bothered you: I, the old man, missed an adult size field chair in the desert to be able to rest my back. Otherwise, not much bothered us.

Comments: A very special experience. No other riders from Hidden Trail, two (nice) others from a different agency. Excellent Mongolian guide, a very able cook and an efficient and professional tour leader. Very good and well fit horses (what a selection to choose from!).
