- Villages straight out of a bucolic past, where traditional
folk costumes are still worn;
- Working horses still outnumbering motor vehicles;
- Food grown on small farms, without chemicals;
- Rural tourism that benefits ordinary people, not
corporations or cartels;
- Tranquility, without the sounds of motor vehicles or
aero planes;
- Monasteries on quiet hillsides;
- Forests sheltering abundant wildlife;
- Shepherds who still spend all summer on alpine pastures;
- Starry night skies without the orange glow of a city;
- People whose brows are not furrowed by the stresses of
modern life.

Here you can unwind, relax in the tranquil countryside,
experience a way of life that was vanishing from the West nearly a
century ago. You can explore this secret land on horseback, or by
horse and carriage - some of the horses belong to rare local breeds.
You can try out activities that you may not have the chance to try
elsewhere - ploughing with a horse, cutting hay with a scythe,
milking a cow, making a horseshoe by hand at the forge.
Your holiday will be more than just a riding adventure. We give you
the opportunity to experience the rich history of Transylvania,
including the medieval Saxon citadel town of Sighisoara, the
Byzantine Painted Monasteries, fine Austro-Hungarian architecture,
and Roman remains.
Transylvania is also the land of Bram Stoker's Dracula. We can take
you to the Borgo Pass by horse and carriage, where you can stay in
the "Hotel Castle Dracula". You can discover local legends, perhaps
around a bonfire over a drink or two with local people. The distant
howling wolves will be authentic!
