Equestrian tours in Mexico, Sierra Occidental
Valle de Bravo Cavalcades

Valle de Bravo Cavalcades
Sierra Occidental Mexico

Mexico is well known for its biodiversity, the result of different micro climates that originate from the multiple levels of an incredible volcanic mountainous country. The topographic profile of Valle de Bravo makes this place a sub-tropical high altitude paradise. There are six rivers that converge into a lake surrounded by evergreen pine and oak forests. The nearby high altitude majestic peaks covered with fir trees and the neighbor low lands or "tierra caliente", with its caducifolia jungle make the region a unique one. In a relatively small area, the variety of habitats includes mountains, streams, lake, prairies, crop fields and small urban areas. All these ecosystems make Valle de Bravo an outstanding bio region that offers excellent riding opportunities, the same during the mild and dry winter than in the moderately warm and humid summer. Enjoy winter as if it were summer. Discover a perfect mixture of Mediterranean weather with Alpine landscapes. Make your dream come true with a perfect riding holiday in the colonial town of Valle de Bravo, located by the side of a blue lake surrounded with evergreen forests and with the most exhilarating and colorful variety of flowers. Discover an unknown face of Mexico and learn about old Mexican countryside traditions while riding incredibly fit and well trained horses using well-kept first-class tack. Let the grooms and wranglers clean and saddle the horses while you have a restoring "siesta" in one of the hammocks that hang from the columns under the shade of the verandas. If you prefer, have a good "Margarita" or strong "Tequila" enjoying a colorful sunset from the outdoors heated swimming pool with Jacuzzi of Finca Enyhe.
The ride is led every day by one of the host-owners who have an excellent knowledge of Mexican flora, fauna, history, culture, and traditions. Riding with a guide that is very well known in the area allows the riders to have an interactive experience with Mexican countryside people.
The routes go by ancient horse trails that run through woods, lakes, rivers, meadows, and villages offering breathtaking views. While passing through great variety of micro climates (from 5,500 Ft. up to 12,000 Ft. over sea level) riders get to see different plants, trees, animals, and birds that are endemic of Mexico's Sierra Madre Occidental. Some days after riding five or six hours, the horses overnight in a different stable-station while the riders come back by car to town. On one of the days riders return to town crossing the lake in a boat, a delightful and relaxing experience. The route also visits the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary so riders can enjoy this amazing natural phenomena mounted on their horses.

The Relaxed Riding Week has some add on / upgrade options
