The Property                                            back to ranch page

Rancho De La Osa is an intimate, private and remote property.

We have 19 guest rooms, all unique and different. Each room is individually decorated with its own color scheme, hand-crafted pillows and bedspreads. All rooms have a private bath, a porch and a separate entry. Most rooms have a wood burning fireplace. All rooms are ground level and open to mountain views.

Original artwork, Mexican antiques, and whimsical designs of these gorgeous ranch rooms capture the colorful spirit of the desert Southwest.

Each building is made of hand-formed adobe (mud) bricks. The oldest structure is more than 300 years old; the earliest was built in the 1920s.

Hacienda & Common Areas

Hacienda

Built between the 1830s-60s, this marvelous building houses our massive dining room, and four "salons" with fireplaces for guest relaxation. The adobe walls of the Hacienda are more than two feet thick, providing a natural cooling protection from the summer heat and warmth for the late night winter chill.

This building is open for guest use twenty-four hours a day, and guests are welcome to light a fire, sip a glass of wine or just sit and relax!

Cantina

Known as the "Old Adobe" this building is reputed to be the oldest building in the state of Arizona. It has been occupied since the early 1700s. It was built as a mission outpost in what was then "New Spain" to provide traveling Jesuit priests with supplies.

Used as a gathering place since the 1920s, the cantina has a huge fireplace which was once open on both sides; one side for a blacksmith shop, the other as a gathering place for guests.

The building is now used for guest socializing
