Introduction
California USA
Join us for a fabulous week along the northern coast of California, where the magic lies in the spectacular scenery, the crashing of the waves of the Pacific Ocean, the towering ancient redwoods, the vast cattle ranches. Here we find magic in the tranquility and majesty of this incredible place in which we are privileged to live and ride. Let us share the magic with you.

This is an area of great natural beauty, rich in wildlife and where time flows with the relaxed pace of the west coast and small town lifestyle.  The ghosts of Russian, Spanish and English adventurers tenaciously cling to this isolated haven where you can canter along its deserted ocean beaches, ride the rugged bluffs with the great Pacific crashing against the rocks far below, and meander on mossy trails through the magnificent Redwood forests of Northern California's rugged Mendocino Coast. Your hosts have a line-up of wonderfully well-trained horses, for both English and Western style enthusiasts. The quality of the horses is exceptional, and so are the beautiful trails you will discover together.  This is a riding vacation suitable for many types and levels of riders. When appropriate, the group can be divided to allow guests to ride at a faster or slower pace for portions of the trail.  Redwood Coast Ride trails cover many miles on deserted beaches, through a working cattle ranch, through giant, ancient redwood forests and up into the coastal mountain range.  Your lodging will be located in one of several wonderful hotels in either Fort Bragg or Mendocino.

Riding

Horses
Our group of well-trained horses allows us to match riders with the perfect companion for their trip. You will not believe the quality of the horses!
So we can best match you with a suitable horse, please provide your height and weight and send a detailed description of your riding experience and preferences.

Pace
Riding groups split up so that riders can opt for more or less trotting and cantering.

Weight Restrictions
We have horses who are able to carry heavy riders.  In deciding whether or not we can safely accommodate a rider, we consider height and riding experience as well as weight.  We also have to consider the availability of a suitable horse at the time of the requested ride.  We work with prospective riders and try to make a safe and enjoyable ride happen. As a general guideline, those under 6’ tall should weigh less than 200 pounds, and those over 6’ tall should weigh less than 240 pounds.
