Introduction
Northern Italy Italy
Immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery of the Brenta Dolomites, declared "World Heritage Site" by UNESCO.

This is a fantastic experience for those who love the outdoors and want to learn more about this beautiful mountain range.
Some facts about the Dolomites:
• The feature that makes these mountains so special is that they are essentially composed of dolomite, a rock made up mainly of the mineral dolomite. This particularity gives them that pale color that makes them so fascinating and mysterious.
• They are considered a heritage of humanity for their geological and landscape peculiarities, unique in the world: steep walls, glaciers, spiers, towers and pinnacles create a natural spectacle of incomparable beauty.

Graffer Refuge
Built in the 1940s just after the war and named after a great mountaineer and aviator, this Refuge is the only SAT mountain lodge to be open in both summer and winter. The view from the terrace is amazing, and feel free to ask the lodge’s manager, Roberto Manni, for help identifying the mountain peaks, from Brenta to Cevedale, as the sun sets behind the Adamello-Presanella group.
Most rooms are dormitory style (3/4/5 beds) and the bathrooms are shared.

Agritur da Sandro
This charming Agriturismo is surrounded by mountains. Each of the 7 bedrooms offer a comfortable bed, a TV, free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom.

Peller Refuge
This refuge was originally built in 1903. In 1943 a great fire completely destroyed it and it was rebuilt only in 1952 by the members of the SAT. However, in 1962, another great fire destroyed the refuge again. This time it was rebuilt on the north-east side near the Malgari locality and was inaugurated in 1965.
Nowadays, the refuge can host over 30 people

Room Occupancy
In case you are a solo traveler, the single supplement fee is mandatory.

Meals
All meals are included from lunch on day 1 to lunch on the last day.

Breakfasts and dinners are eaten at the refuges.

Dietary Restrictions
We can usually cater to most dietary restrictions with prior notice.

Seasons
As a mountain range, the Dolomites receive less precipitation on an annual basis than do the majority of the Alps. However, the southern Dolomites (the Brenta Group and Lake Garda area) can be foggy at times, when the cold air mixes with the warmer air from nearby Venice.
Please, keep in mind that, in the Alps, weather can change quickly.

Summer (July to September)
The summer months feature warm temperatures and plenty of sun. While the average maximum temperature may reach some 25 degrees Celsius (80°F) on the valley floors, the gentle wind of the Dolomites guarantees refreshing moments in the shade of rich green woods.

Fall (October to November)
This is the time of the year when temperature drops. Usually, weather conditions remain stable and pleasant, making the Dolomites a perfect place to plan a “late summer” adventure!

Winter (December to March)
Winter snow usually begins to accumulate in December, lasting through March, and sometimes into April. While winter temperatures do fall below freezing, the sun shines an unparalleled 8 days out of 10 in the Dolomites – more than any other range in the Alps!

Spring (April to June)
Warmer weather and longer days return in Spring. This is also one of the rainiest time of the year. But this is welcomed, as it clears the air for spectacular vistas and brings beautiful green valleys and pastures overflowing with wildflowers.
