These trail rides are for all levels of riding skill in addition to offering unique photo opportunities for those who want to capture the beauty of the desert. Riding Activities
Whether you are an advanced rider or a beginner, our trails are suitable for all riding levels with a wide variety of terrain, petroglyphs, and historic sites to visit. Join us on unforgettable rides to landmark destinations and ghost towns while enjoying the magnificent country. Ride as little or as much as you like.
We can also provide riding lessons for an extra fee.

Slow rides
For all levels of rider (walking only). Exploring the Tombstone hills, the rides are scenic and cover a variety of terrains including sandy desert washes, abandoned railroad grade, old jeep trails and hills once mined for silver. Take in spectacular views of surrounding mountain ranges, Tombstone town and of the land where Apaches, cowboys and prospectors once rode.

Fast Rides (mandatory to join at least 1 slow ride before joining a fast ride)
For a more challenging riding adventure. Walking, trotting and loping through the high desert terrain and a chance to really ride your horse.

Half Day ride
This ride takes guests on an adventure in the Tombstone Hills. With breathtaking views of the Huachuca Mountains and many prospectors monuments and abandoned mines to spot this ride covers beautiful country.

Cattle work in Arena
Try your hand at moving cattle in the arena!

Obstacle Course
You and your horse work together to perform different activities, crossing a bridge, going over logs, opening and closing a gate, and even getting the mail.

Specialty rides
- Trail to the 1800s: Our Wranglers take you back in time to visit local history. Petroglyphs, hand dug wells, mine shafts, rock cabin ruins, abandoned railroad trestles and the hidden valley are just some of the places to ride by.
- Ride to Tombstone: Ride to town just like Wyatt Earp and the gunslingers of the past. Through old ranches and along washes, step off your horse in an old Bull Riding arena and head to Allen street for an opportunity to look around the town, take in the sights, do a little Western shopping or have a beer at Big Nose Kate’s. Mount up and ride back to the ranch down Schieffelin Monument road.
- Beer and Cheetos ride: Wash away the dust with a cold refreshing beer, taste some empty calorie snack foods and share stories with good company, in the Arizona desert.
- Tequila Taster: Raise a red solo shot cup to your favorite western hero all while sitting on your horse on the desert trail.
- Winter Gathering: Ride through dry riverbeds, rocky desert hills, slot canyons and mesquite groves to find and gather our herd of Criollo cattle and drive them to the ranch, then back out to pasture. Trail riding if there is spare time.



Non-Riding Ranch Activities

Shooting with instructor
For anyone who has ever wanted to Shoot old style guns that the cowboys carried. Instruction given.

Archery with instructor
We’ve got bows and we’ve got arrows and we can teach you and your family how to shoot like an Apache. Instruction given.

UTV ride
For guests who would like to experience the desert, the ranch and the history surrounding us in a different fashion, buckle up and we will take you on an approximately one hour ride through the dry riverbeds and washes, into the foothills and on the abandoned railroad grade—sometimes looking for some of our Criollo cattle and their calves.

Seasons
The climate in Southern Arizona, only half an hour from the Mexican border, is beautifully arid and clear. With few exceptions, the days are warm and sunny, and the mild autumn, winter, and spring temperatures are no legend. Even if it becomes hotter in the summer, the low humidity makes the high temperatures quite pleasant.

The climate is perfect for riding all year. During July and August rides are only during the early morning end late afternoon hours. Even December and January offer great riding weather during the day.

Ranch attire is completely casual, if you wish to dress up for evenings, Western wear is appropriate.

Accommodations
This is a stationary ride, so all nights are spent at the same location.

Description
Vacation in Jail? Or maybe at The Grand hotel? You can select between 17 different guestrooms. Each Western-themed room is special and individually equipped with authentic interior of that time. Cozy beds, modern bathrooms, original decorations and loving details will ensure that you feel comfortable. Plus bath amenities, satellite TV, ac/heat, coffee maker and free WIFI. Of course, our rooms are fully air conditioned and so quiet that you can enjoy the sounds of nature undisturbed.
Enjoy the pool and whirlpool or visit the saloon and play a round of pool or poker. Laundry is not available for this trip. 
Because of the large number of horses, cats and dogs here on our Ranch and for the safety of your animals, we do not allow pets.

All rooms are equipped with AC and heating units, tea & coffee maker, hair dryer, high speed internet.

Deluxe Double Room (approx. 400 sq feet) 
Take in the breathtaking view of the Dragoon Mountains or watch the riders having fun in the arena from the private terrace outside our Deluxe Rooms. Each room has its own unique old west décor with one king size or two queen size beds, private bathrooms with amenities.
 

Junior Suite (approx. 400 sq feet)
Wake up to a gorgeous sunrise, streaming in across the town in one of our western themed Junior Suite Rooms. Complete with a queen bed and a separate room with a king bed, private bath plus amenities.


Premium Suite (approx. 495 sq feet)
Designed with turn of the century décor our premium suites create the feel of stepping back in time without losing any of today’s luxury. Complete with a queen bed and separate bedroom with a king bed, private bath with tub/shower combo and bath amenities. Our Premium suites also have a small kitchenette with fridge and living space. Our premium suites also have a private patio with a spectacular view of the Dragoon Mountain range where Chief Cochise of the Chiricahua Apaches had his stronghold.

Meals
Your all-inclusive package includes 3 meals, soft drinks and snacks per day. 

Breakfast
The full breakfast will provide you with plenty of energy to start into a day full of adventures. If you desire, start the day with a traditional strong coffee, bread, eggs and bacon. You will be able to choose from a great variety like pancakes, hash browns, made to order omelets, breakfast burritos, fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh granola and much more.

Lunch
At lunchtime you will be able to refuel from your morning activities and get a boost of power for the rest of the day.  Enjoy a delicious salad, soup of the day, tasty sandwiches and much more.
On our long trail rides we take enough food to feed you in style. Of course, we bring a lot of water.

Dinner
For dinner, our chef will pamper you with the best selection of gourmet foods while you unwind from a long day at the ranch. Enjoy a delicious salad before diving into your entrée - try our chef’s Ahi tuna, rack of lamb, veal chop or seared duck for example. To round off a long day of trail rides, hiking and much more, our chef’s superb desserts will satisfy your sweet tooth.

There is plenty of water (which you will need under the hot Arizona sun). 
After returning to the ranch there will be ice cold beer to buy, soft or long drinks, and savory snacks waiting for you at the pool.

Riding Level
Whether you are an experienced rider or a complete beginner we have rides for everyone. Our healthy, well-mannered horses are like family, so let us choose your “partner” for riding adventures. In our herd we have horses for different levels of rider and we try hard to match guests to a horse that will make their vacation special.

Restrictions
Children must be 5 years old to ride a horse and 8 to ride fast or on the “experienced rider” trails. Moreover, our horses can only carry guests up to a weight of 230 lbs.

Passports

Valid passport required by all nationals referred to in the chart ; validity varies - for most countries the passport must be valid for at least six months from the date on which the holder enters the USA. If not, the holder will be admitted until the expiration date on the passport; check with the embassy (see Contact Addresses).

Passport Note

(a) For nationals included in the Visa Waiver Program (see below), passports must be valid for at least 90 days from date of entry.

(b) All travellers entering the USA under the Visa Waiver Program require individual machine-readable passports. Children included on a parent's passport also now require their own machine-readable passport. Travellers not in possession of machine-readable passports will require a valid USA entry visa.

(c) Passports issued on or after 26 October 2005 will need to have a biometric identifier in order for the holder to travel visa free under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Machine-readable passports issued between 26 October 2005 and 25 October 2006 require a digital photograph printed on the data page or an integrated chip with information from the data page. Machine-readable passports issued on or after 26 October 2006 will require an integrated chip with information from the data page (e-passport).



The US has announced new measures that require all travellers to provide details online 72 hours prior to travel.

ESTA: The Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) came into force on 12 January 2009. It is a fully automated, electronic system for screening passengers before they begin travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program. ESTA applications must be submitted at least 72 hours before travel to the USA. Some websites may charge you for the service but you can apply online for free at www.dhs.gov. The granting of an ESTA does not guarantee entry to the USA.

 

New Requirements for Travellers: As of 23 January 2007 all persons, including US citizens, travelling by air between the USA and Canada, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Bermuda are required to present a valid passport, or other approved document, when entering or re-entering the USA. Similar requirements for those travelling by land or sea will be introduced on 1 June 2009.

Visas

Not required by nationals referred to in the chart above for stays of up to 90 days except:

1. nationals of Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania and Slovak Republic, who do require a visa.

Visa Note

(a) Landed Immigrants of Canada and British residents of Bermuda who are citizens of, and have valid passports from, Commonwealth countries or Ireland are not eligible to enter the USA without a visa. (b) All passengers using US airports for transit purposes are required to obtain a transit visa. This does not affect qualified travellers travelling visa free under the Visa Waiver Program. (d) To qualify for visa-free travel under the Visa Waiver Program, nationals must travel on a valid passport, for holiday, transit or business purposes only and for a stay not exceeding 90 days. (e) Passengers must have the full address and ZIP code of where they are staying in the USA to be able to fully complete the I-94W form. Note: Airlines are also required to collect passenger details, including the address of their first night's accommodation in the USA, before they board the aircraft. (f) 2. Holders of UK passports with the endorsement British Subject, British Dependent Territories Citizen, British Protected Person, British Overseas Citizen or British National (Overseas) Citizen do not qualify for the Visa Waiver Program. A passport which states holder has right of abode or indefinite leave to remain in the UK does not qualify for visa free travel. (g) A visa does not expire with the expiry of the holder’s passport. An unexpired, endorsed visa in an expired passport may be presented for entry into the USA, as long as the visa itself has not been cancelled, is undamaged, is less than 10 years old and is presented with a valid non-expired passport, provided that both passports are for the same nationality. (h) Nationals of countries not referred to in the chart above are advised to contact the embassy to check visa requirements (see Contact Addresses).

Validity

Visas may be used for travel to the USA until the date it expires. Some visas are valid for multiple entries. The length of stay in the USA is determined by US immigration officials at the time of entry but is generally six months; there is, however, no set time.
