Day 1: Arrival
Arrival at the Montera hotel (Los Barrios) and welcome from the local guide.

Overnight in Los Barrios
Day 2: Pontón del Caramelo
Today's route passes through the Green Corridor and the Las Cañas or Palmones River. Our destination for the day is the Caramelo Pontón, a wooden bridge used to cross the river. After some time relaxing by the river we head back to Los Barrios.
Our hike will cross typical landscape of the Los Alcornocales National Park.

Day 3: Valley of Ojén
The itinerary goes through the roads that were made by the Republican prisoners between 1931 and 1942, before World War II started. The route offers a splendid view over the Valley of Ojén, where you’ll be able to witness the great contrast between the areas of pastures and the leafy cork tree forests, as well as the bushy masses of gall trees in the wetlands. You will also see many birds along the trail.

Day 4: Strait of Georgia
This path leads you into forests and wetlands, overlooking the neighboring continent, Africa and the colony of Gibraltar.

Overnight in El Bujeo
Day 5: Enchanted Forests
Today, the route does through the shady forests of the mountains of Algeciras and Tarifa. You will see a unique Laurel Tree Forest where you will find unusual forest formations of subtropical species.
Enjoy extraordinary views of the Strait of Gibraltar, the African Coast with the Jebel Musa in the foreground, Gibraltar, and the Malaga mountains.
As you walk, you will come across a strange grove of dwarf oak trees representative of the Fog Forest, very characteristic of this area.
Today's hike goes through one of the largest forest of the Iberian Peninsula.

Overnight in El Bujeo
Day 6: Colada de la Costa
La Colada de la Costa is a narrow path that follows a coastal livestock path and crosses the cliffs of Tarifa. The trail runs through coastal grasslands and areas of low scrub.
Today's highlights are the impressive views of the African continent and the geological formations of the cliff.
As it can be expected, given the geographical situation through which the path runs, it is common to find bunkers, old civil guard barracks and other surveillance and defense buildings.

Day 7: The Algarbes-Betijuelo trail
Today's trail is a hidden gem! Start the route by visiting a Bronze Age burial site, the Necropolis of the Algarbes, one of the most important archaeological complexes in the province of Cadiz. From here continue walking until you reach the town of Betijuelo, sitting at 331 meters above sea level. From there, you can enjoy incredible panoramic views.

Transfer to airport after breakfast.
