What to Bring for Caribbean Delight

- Horseback riding attire: you are welcome to ride in jeans, but jodphurs may be better.  
- Half chaps over ankle high riding boots or "paddock" boots
- Helmet (some available to borrow)
- Binoculars for sighting wildlife
- Rain Gear
- Cool clothing that wicks moisture away from your skin and dries quickly
- Sturdy tennis or hiking shoes for rainforest adventures
- Sturdy sandals, long pants for jungle walking.
- Digital Camera for capturing magical moments.
- Small Backpack
- Sun Screen
- Natural filtration water bottle
- Sun Hat
- Beach Towel
- Sunglasses
- Warmer clothing for the evenings.
- Casual and light clothing for the day
- Swimsuit 
- Insect repellent (if you are sensitive to bugs)

Make sure you have some US$ cash with you in small bills (not 100s or 50s). It will be useful on your way in and on your way out to pay taxis and buses.
There is no need to exchange currency at the airport, you can easily exchange dollars or Travelers Checks at the nearby village of Puerto Viejo, 4 miles from the lodge.

Difficulty Levels Explained
1. Easy
Easy pace and an average-to-sedentary level of fitness. You should be in good health and fit enough for full day of normal sightseeing and walking.
2. Easy to Moderate
An average level of fitness or some experience with the featured activity is recommended.
3. Moderate
Requires you to have performed the featured activity regularly, with some periods on challenging terrain. Activities are mandatory and you may be traveling at high elevations. You need to be in good health and physical condition to enjoy these trips, with adequate muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance.
4. Demanding
You must be extremely physically fit and are expected to hike or ride four to six hours over steep or more rugged terrain.
5. Strenuous
Prolonged hiking/biking on moderate to difficult terrain (five to nine hours a day).
May include high altitude, rugged terrain etc..
