Cross Country Superstitions Trail

Cross Country Superstitions Trail
Arizona USA

Explore Arizona's Superstitions Wilderness...

This trail is for experienced riders only please! Due to the nature of the terrain as well as the intensive and lengthy daily rides, all participants must have moderate trail experience and be confident on horseback. This exciting trail will lead us through major mountain ranges of Arizona, on scenic equestrian trails from the exquisite high deserts with variety of cacti and unique wildlife to the sub alpine mountain regions covered with contrasting pines and fir trees. Arizona is a fascinating and beautiful landscape that is a favorite of horseback travelers worldwide.

The itinerary for the Cross Country Superstitions Trail is a special “Point to Point Ride" - you'll find challenging and winding mountain trails, infused with occasional lovely flat stretches where cantering and galloping will be permitted to spike your adrenaline. However, you can expect a great deal of trotting throughout this ride, so we highly recommend you have a good seat and balance, with posting skills to alleviate the impact on your horse and your bottom. The amazing scenery and rider camaraderie provide lots of opportunity for real "Kodak Moments" - the experience unforgettable! This ride is a rustic camping trip, but we try and make the great and rugged outdoors as comfortable as possible with the camp basics we have to work with. Tasty, wholesome meals are provided and roomy three season tents w/ cots and pillows are available to you so no need to lug your own all the way to Arizona. Our camp shower awaits your arrival in camp each day; it is certainly nothing fancy but does the job when you need to refresh quickly and get rid of the dust and grime earned on your horseback adventures.

This is not a "dude ranch" experience with extra comforts or special catering, this is a rustic camping adventure for those who don't mind riding that extra few miles of a long day, getting a dirty and roughing it in the desert. Come with those expectations and you will have the horseback trail ride of your life with like-minded horse people who value a great riding and horse experience over the frills and gimmicks of luxury travel!
