Tuolumne Meadows Ride
California
USA
Spend five days wandering through one of the most beautiful places on earth − Yosemite National Park, America's first and foremost National Park. These trips explore the uncrowded back-country along the John Muir Trail. The John Muir Trail starts at Mount Whitney, through King's Canyon, Sequoia Park and finally through the Ansel Adam's Wildreness to Yosemite. This particular ride allows you to discover and to revel in the beauty of the Ansel Adams Wilderness, with its spectacular alpine scenery with barren granite peaks, steep-walled gorges and rock outcroppings. Starting at the pack station, you'll conquer the heights of Donohue Pass and descend into the magic splendor of Yosemite and Tuolumne Meadows. The Tuolumne Meadow(s) area of Yosemite National Park is quite different from the valley and Wawona. It's the high country, with an altitude of 8,500 at it's lowest point.
In July we invite you to join us on some very special fishing trips for Golden Trout. In the solitude of the beautiful Ansel Adams Wilderness near Yosemite National Park. We'll show you the best fishing spots, set up camp in the most picturesque places and treat you to mountain gourmet food around the campfire.

Tuolumne Meadows Ride - Yosemite
Every pack trip is designed to give you pleasure, comfort, adventure and make the most of your vacation time. All arrangements are personalized to suit your interests and needs.
Starting at the pack station at June Lake (near Bishop) at 7 am on Day 1, you'll conquer the heights of Donohue Pass and descend into the magic splendor of Yosemite and Tuolumne Meadows. The itinerary is flexible depending on weather.
We will change camp every other night - 2 nights at lake (Ansel Adams area), 2 nights in Yosemite.
Return to June Lake at 4 pm on the last day.
Golden Trout Fishing trips
Day One Meet in June Lake at 7:00 a.m., when breakfast will be served. We will partner you up with a horse to match you ability and then ride into the beautiful Ansel Adams Wilderness. Our lunch and fishing stop will be beside Crest Creek, where there will be plenty of Spawner Rainbow from Gem Lake. We will then continue to our first camp at Clark Lakes. There will be plenty of time to fish that evening for Brookies in the four nearby lakes.
Day Two After breakfast, we will take a day ride to Thousand Island Lake and the head waters of the San Joaquin River. There, you will fish for Rainbwo/Golden hybrids. Our emphasis is on catch-and-release, but you are always welcome to enjoy your freshly caught back country trout with your dinner. After dinner, we will be fishing the Clark Lakes.
Day Three We will break camp in the morning and travel to Algers Lakes, stopping along the way to fish beautiful Rush Creek, known for both Brookies and Rainbows. At our base camp, you will have the best opportunity for catching large Golden Trout. We will spend the balance of the day fishing near camp and rounding off the evening with stories from the campfire.
Day Four
The group will have the whole day to fish Algers Lakes and find your favorite spot. You can expect to catch Goldens from 12-16 inches.
Day Five Fish in the morning. After having lunch at the camp, we will return to June Lake, arriving at 4:00 p.m.

Weather can change rapidly during all seasons of the year. You should be prepared for all types of weather, it can get cold at night- but hot in the day time.
IE: at the end of May/beginning of June- it can get down to 45-50° a night, daytime it can reach 70-80° and be very sunny! So in general the weather is variable.
Elevation plays a major role in temperature and precipitation. Most of the moisture comes in the months of January, February and March, and the winter climate is relatively mild.
Sierra summers are typically warm and dry.
April and November are transitional months, when warm, sunny days can suddenly become stormy. Clouds can build up during the summer to produce spectacular thunderstorm activity.

Valid passport required by all nationals referred to in the chart ; validity varies - for most countries the passport must be valid for at least six months from the date on which the holder enters the USA. If not, the holder will be admitted until the expiration date on the passport; check with the embassy (see Contact Addresses).
Passport Note
(a) For nationals included in the Visa Waiver Program (see below), passports must be valid for at least 90 days from date of entry.

Machine-readable passports issued between 26 October 2005 and 25 October 2006 require a digital photograph printed on the data page or an integrated chip with information from the data page.
