Pampas Polo and Trail
Buenos Aires
Argentina
This Polo and Riding Center is located in the Cañuelas county, just 1 hour from Buenos Aires City, and just 30 minutes away from Ezeiza International Airport.
Here you can enjoy a few days away from the big city among friends. Enjoy a relaxed day in the countryside amongst nature, play Polo, go for a trail ride, or spend some time birdwatching.
Join the local gauchos drinking some 'mates' (typical argentinian herb tea) and, of course, eating a great Argentinean Asado under the moonlight in the huge sky of the Argentinean Pampa!
The accommodation, called 'Casco Viejo', was at one time the main house of the 'Estancia Las Mercedes' until it was replaced with a newer building. An adobe ranch where the founders once lived, today the house has been restored to provide a high level of comfort. The Casco Viejo is composed of comfortable suites, whilst maintaining and respecting the typical features of an 'Argentinean Rancho'.
Each day can be customized to your riding desire. You can combine Polo instructions with a game of Stick Ball, or go out with one of the wranglers and explore the beautiful countryside of the Pampa.

Polo
During breakfast and a round of 'mates', we will introduce you to the theory of Polo. According to the participant's level we will then select the horses. We will then give you a personalized lesson of two hours in the 'taqueo' field.
Duringthe midday an 'Asado' is prepared. We enjoy a 'Picada' snack and then plan our afternoon practice session.
During the afternoon, we will have 4 chukkers practice sessions.
The visits also include trips to attend high handicap tournaments and the Triple Crown, according to the AAP calendar.
Requirements: Boots and enthusiasm!
Trail riding
The 'pampa' presents an infinity of places that mantain the 'gauchos' mystique and tradition. We plan on visiting those places on horseback, or in carriages and sulkies from that era, getting a feel for how it was back then. In the evening we return to the estancia or if the group desires, we can also arrange an overnight at a different place.
Our supply carriage and cook will take care of the traditional meals to make our experience complete!
We will take care of playing the guitar around the bonfire!
