Estancia Pampas El Silencio
Buenos Aires
Argentina
Let yourself experience the amazing opportunity to discover the seemingly endless Argentine Pampas from the back of a strong and handsome Creole horse, the horses of the legendary Gauchos. The Creole horse has a strong pace, steel nerves and an enviable high endurance. They are known to be the perfect partner with a quiet demeanor, yet combine it with high levels of performance. Our horses are kept in herds on the pretty meadows and we have a selection that is friendly for every level of rider who chooses to visit. Whether you are a complete beginner or very experienced, we have the ideal partner for you to ride and enjoy. Come discover with us the unsurpassed adventure of "riding as a gaucho” on a refreshing getaway just outside the city of Buenos Aires.
You can re-create that famous picture - the lonely rider followed by his faithful dog, riding at sunset. We ride following the typical Argentine custom of working in the countryside, one hand to guide your horse on the reins. You will be pleased how they react most responsively to the smooth and soft pull on the reins and movements of your body weight.

Exploration Ride
This ride offers a first glance of the Argentine pampas and provides confidence on how safe it is to ride our horses. We ride on nearby and vacant paths and pass by haciendas and small granges.
Ride towards Espora
Espora is a small and lovely village nearby where a small train station marks the meeting point for neighbors and a place to refill canteens. It is also a place where visitors are met by the maintenance worker of the historical buildings who will wait for us with some beverages and a quick meal (picada).
Ride to Videka blood-horse stud farm
Our friends, who are owners of the stud farm, invite us to share a typical English Tea in a high-style atmosphere.
Franklin
Our path leads us to quiet ranches where animal cattle can be seen grazing on green meadows.
In Franklin, some delicious specialties from our kitchen wait for us. After a short break, we make our way back.
Ride towards Tuyutí
As Espora, Tuyutí has a quaint train station. Nevertheless, Tuyutí is far from traffic roads and “in the middle of nowhere”. During this ride we trot and gallop following the short gait, typical of the Creole horse.
Thus we can admire the strength, performance and endurance of these horses while we enjoy the beautiful landscape. We take supplies in saddlebags and stop for a picnic under a shaded tree along the way.
A typical day on a cattle-ranch
Getting to know how the gauchos work: gathering the cattle, working the corrals (vaccination, brand mark, etc.).

Located 110 km away from Buenos Aires “El Silencio” is waiting to offer you its expansive park, a swimming-pool, the guest house with its big terrace, TV room, a wide fireplace, bicycles, round-pen and, naturally, our well loved horses.
The park, with its ancient trees and shady places constitute an invitation to read a book, to admire the multiple bird species or to simply enjoy the possibility of daydreaming on the horizon.
Rosebushes, laurels and camellias surround the idyllic swimming-pool located at the centre of the park which provides a lovely freshness in summer-time. Our house, which has a kitchen, dining-room and guests rooms, is built in colonial style. Each room has a small drawing room and central heating.
Lunch and dinner are served in the warm dining room and, in summer, in the shady terrace. At noon or sunset, after a long ride, we wait for you with the typical Argentine asado (meat cooked on carbon) and a variety of salads as side dish. The famous Argentine wine accompanies the meal! Our kitchen “pampers” you with our home-made specialties: empanadas, pasta, cakes, and desserts.
Rates include lodging, all meals with wine, non-alcoholic beverages and riding excursions!
This trip includes
some wine with dinner
and can accommodate special dietary requests.
