Bali on Horseback
Bali South
Bali
Bali offers an image of sun soaked paradise: stunning scenery, its gentle sarong-clad people and sunsets of legendary glory. See Bali in a way you've never seen it before! Our horse-riding treks take you through the lush rice terraces around Kerobokan and we gallop through the surf along the beautiful south-western coast. Situated near the beach in the lush green rice fields, the equestrian resort is the most comprehensive riding facility on the island, providing boutique hotel-style accommodations in a tropical setting, complete with poolside restaurant and swimming pool.
With a choice of professionally-trained horses and ponies with the latest riding and safety equipment, we offer a tour like no other in Bali. Choose from lunge and dressage lessons for beginners to advanced riders or head out on our horseback excursions, one to three hours in length, along the beach, through the lush rice fields and various Balinese villages. Special sunset rides along shoreline are offered as well.
Discover the wonderful world of horse-riding under the guidance of experienced trainers. An ideal way to experience Bali in a healthy and active way. Then relax on a sun bed by the swimming pool, take a refreshing dip, enjoy a soothing whirlpool massage or unwind with a drink and a delicious meal in the new restaurant - truly a holiday experience to remember!

You will ride through the most stunning scenery of rice field terraces, a forest and a local village, that didn't really change since the 1920s. As the journey goes on, travel with us to some divine and mystical places, way off the beaten track. Hidden waterfalls, unknown hot springs or secret temples are some of the impossible to find on your own, but not to be missed locations we go to.
After the ride you can enjoy a massage before lunch. A traditional gourmet lunch is served at our private hideaway, a truly delightful jungle clearing where guests dine in an elegant pavilion surrounded by lush foliage and stunning views.
Before we start our afternoon ride we will visit a compound, build in Balinese architecture, that is owned by the Royal Family of Tabanan. Or you will have the opportunity to experience a Gamelan lesson (traditional Indonesian instruments) or a Balinese Dance class. After the afternoon ride we will serve tea or coffee with cake. Before departing, you have an opportunity to shower before returning to the riding center - arriving at about 6 PM.

The cooler dry season from April to October is the best time to visit Bali. The rest of the year is more humid, cloudier and has more rainstorms, but you can still enjoy a holiday.
You can expect pleasant day temperatures between 20 to 33 degrees Celsius or 68 to 93 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. From December to March, the West monsoon can bring heavy showers and high humidity, but usually days are sunny and the rains start during the night and pass quickly. From June to September the humidity is low, and it can be quite cool in the evenings. During this time of the year, you'll have hardly any rain in the coastal areas.
Remember that you are in a subtropical climate so dress lightly. We recommend cotton clothing rather than synthetics. Beware of the sun! Use a factor 15 or better sun block and a cap or hat and sunglasses. Don't forget a camera.
