Saaleland Trail
Day 1: Arrival in the afternoon. Transfer from the train station is available. Check into the Country Inn. Dinner is on your own tonight.
Day 2: Breakfast and relax at the inn to get ready for your trip. At 12 noon we meet with the guide and enjoy a quick snack. Transfer to the riding stables and start of our riding tour. We familiarize ourselves with the Andalusian horses on our first ride.
Day 3: Today we ride through the nature reserve Wolch which is characterized by many lakes. Next we head to our Orla sink overnight destination, a cozy inn with a panoramic view and the Bismarck tower.
Day 4: About secretive forest trails we ride to Altmeusebach, a medieval village, which was rebuilt with great attention to detail. With a rustic picnic we will have therein, enchant us and take a dive in 1560.
Day 5: On a historical Grenzweg the former principalities of Thuringia we ride to the romantic hunting lodge for Hummelshain. There we can expect a royal banquet. Continue through the Marie reason, meadows and fields, it goes back to our guesthouse.
Day 6: Varied ride through the Thuringian wood land, a plateau between the rivers Saale and Elster. In this resort many valleys and mesas, of which we can enjoy magnificent views. Past an ostrich farm, we will achieve our goal in Burkersdorf.
Day 7: Over meadows and forests and past the dam Auma it goes back to the ranch, arriving by late afternoon. We say good-bye to the horses and a barbecue with roasted sausages ends the trail. Overnight at the country Inn as on day 1 and 2.
Day 8: Departure after breakfast
Total distance about 180 km.
Land of the 1000 Lakes
Day 1: Arrival in the afternoon. Transfer from the train station is available. Check into the Country Inn. Dinner is on your own tonight.
Day 2: Breakfast and relax at the inn to get ready for your trip. At 12 noon we meet with the guide and enjoy a quick snack. Transfer to the riding stables and start of our riding tour. We familiarize ourselves with the Andalusian horses on our first ride.
Day 3: Today, our riding route takes us through the protected area of Wolche - pure nature with a diverse plant and bird life. Overnight in Plothen.
Day 4: Across hidden forest trails we ride through the nature reserve Thuringian Slate Mountains - all the way to the Saale Valley. Vast high plateaus offer wonderful vistas over small forest valleys. Along the Saale River, which winds her way like a blue
band along the mountains, we reach our idyllic picnic area. After the break we rides over hill and through the valley to tonight's accommodation, where a nice barbecue is waiting for us.
Day 5: Water as far as the eye can see offers our riding route today - inside the "Land of the 1000 lakes". The many ponds and lakes were created for fish farming in the 11th and 12 century by monks. If you feel like it - you can swim in the local pond to refresh yourselves from a long riding day.
Day 6: We ride towards the Lössau Dam, traversing one of the most legendary historic battlefields, where in 1806 Napoleon fought against Prussia and Saxony. Passing old water mills and along the Wisenta River we reach Pahren for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Today we ride to the Dam of Zeulenroda and along the river Weida. In a cozy farewell round we conclude the exciting riding tour. Last overnight as on Day 1.
Day 8: Departure after breakfast
