Improve your Dressage Riding on Mallorca
Mallorca/Menorca
Spain
Dedicated to the world of horses, this beautiful estate has become a compelling visit for the horse enthusiast and admirer of the peaceful Mallorcan countryside. Surrounded by the idyllic natural beauty of the Levante hills, the finca offers the natural terrain and luxury embellishments to make this your best riding holiday, including professional instruction and gorgeous, well-trained Andalusian horses.
The riding estate is located in the southeastern part of the island. Wonderfully close to protected wildlife areas with utterly undisturbed nature and a colourful, varied landscape, yet only four miles from the sandy beaches of Es Trenc and Cala Mondrag.
The hotel, which has become the heart of the estate, has ten comfortable private rooms and a clubhouse (with a bar, restaurant, swimming pool, terraces and small spa facility). It is built in the traditional Spanish style: a country home decorated in a functional yet rustic way with all the necessary facilities for a relaxing vacation. It is your home for the week while you immerse yourself in skilled instruction and scenic trail rides.
There is an arena available for the dressage enthusiast or lover of show jumping, instructions available for both disciplines as well as lessons for the beginner rider. You can design your riding program individually from day to day.
Extra rides and lessons can be added on and paid for locally. Each week you can participate in relaxing and entertaining trail rides; for the more experienced riders join in on the full day excursions. Some trail rides may include riding at the beach (horses are transported there by vehicle). All mounts are well schooled and well taken care of, a beautiful selection of Andalusians as well as other Spanish and Mallorcan horses, most of which have been bred and raised on this reputable stud farm. There are many other activities and excursions available nearby - we recommend renting a car for the week for greatest flexibility.

The Weeks Program
The week long program includes dressage sessions on beautiful Andalusian Stallions and extended trail rides into the beautiful countryside - even a beach ride is possible. You should have riding experience and some basic knowledge about dressage movements. Surprisingly the stallions are very well behaved and easy to control.
If you do not want to be so structured with a fixed program or you are a less experienced rider, you can also choose your riding program a la carte - ride as much as you like or combine riding with relaxation and sightseeing and visits to the beach.
There are lessons for everyone in the arena to improve your general riding, whether it be dressage and/or show jumping lessons. The trail ride lengths and levels build up gradually with one or two hours for the first couple of days and the remaining days are full day rides to explore the local hills and to the beaches of the north of the island. The A la carte program only includes breakfast, leaving you the the most flexibility throughout the day - renting a car is inexpensive if ordering in advance and is a good option for you. There are many sights to see and even Palma is only an hour away - always worth a visit during the day or at night. Nearby Felanitx has some very good restaurants, but the finca itsel prides itself of an excellent cuisine. Dinners are about Euro 12-15
Sample Dressage and Trail week:
Day 1: Arrival at the finca and riding center. During a welcome drink we will go over the week's itinerary. Check into your room. In the afternoon you may opt to take one of the bikes and explore the area, or just wander around, see the horses, check out the facilities with the small spa etc. During dinner you will get to know your riding partners for the week.
Day 2 and 3: After an extensive breakfast, the first instruction session on your Andalusian stallion is waiting for you. These exquisite and proud animals with their good nature are a pleasure for any riding enthusiast. Then relax, enjoy a nice lunch, take a siesta and toward the late afternoon you have the opportunity for a nice trail ride. A delicious dinner and the day.
Day 4: Today we ride to the Cloister of Consolacion - a fascinating place with lots of history and culture to explore. Alternatively we can arrange a transfer with the horses to the beach for an extended ride along the coast and on the beach.
Day 5: Morning lesson on the beautiful Andalusian stallion and trail ride in the late afternoon - leaving enough time for you to go and explore, sight-see or laze on the beach. (transfers and be arranged at extra cost).
Day 6: A nice extensive trail ride in the morning - the afternoon is free to explore or you can opt for more instructions in the arena (you can decide locally).
Day 7: Morning your last lesson on the stallion and a trail ride in the late afternoon - leaving enough time for you to go and explore, sight-see or laze on the beach. (transfers and be arranged at extra cost).
Day 8: Departure after breakfast.

The beautiful island of Mallorca boasts an average of 300 days of sunshine each year. Mallorca is typically Mediterranean with hot, dry summers in the high 20°s (low 80°Fs) and mild winters, with the temperatures roughly half that of summer. The sea regulates extreme temperatures and pleasant sea breezes also keep hot days from becoming too unpleasant. Mallorca experiences irregular rainfall, mostly tending to fall between autumn and winter.
