Last-minute bargains Posted: 4/21/2009 11:02:21 AM

It's nearly August and if you haven't planned your summer vacation yet, you're not alone: 64% of leisure travelers plan at least one of their getaways within two weeks of taking the trip and 26% plan all their vacations at the last minute, according to a poll by the Travel Industry Association.

If you're suffering from vacation procrastination, it's not too late to get away. Sometimes not planning ahead can actually pay off - if you're not too picky. From excess inventory in several popular vacation home rental markets to off-season bargains in the Caribbean, there are still deals to be found.Check out some of the many Special Offers at Hidden Trails

If you were thinking of trying one of our rides in the Mendocino area of California, there are some fantastic local events coming up!
In May the
Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival  happens from May 15-17. Taste Pinot Noir from more than 35 wineries. Enjoy sumptuous food that pairs perfectly with Pinot. Learn all about Pinot at the technical conference, and visit our local Pinot Noir producers at their open houses. It's a full weekend for those who love Pinot Noir!

Going Green Posted: 3/18/2009 5:16:01 PM

Hidden Trails is "Going Green". We are trying hard to change our reservation system, so that we can reduce the paper handling by 50%.
Clients can log into their account any time to check their reservation status, invoice, print their travel document or voucher - from anywhere in the world -- even while already traveling. We will no longer send out the travel documentation by mail unless you specifically ask for it.
We are also contemplating to only print our brochures every two or three years instead of on a yearly basis (that alone would save a few trees). The decision on that has not been made yet, so your input is appreciated. With the ever changing times and with exchange rates going all over the place - it is no longer possible to set rates once a year when depending on foreign currencies. Our website is updated weekly or even daily (given you lower rates at the moment, than what was printed in the brochures for 2009). There is also much more information on the website than what we could ever publish in a print magazine. We will keep you updated.
