Fiesta Sant Antoni Posted: 9/22/2009 3:32:01 PM

Taking place in various towns across the island of Mallorca, Spain, the Fiesta of Sant Antoni celebrates the patron saint of farm animals. It's a fun and colorful event which sees participants dress up in elaborate animal costumes and parade through the town. A fire is lit in the evening, usually in the town square, which is used to ward off evil spirits. There is usually plenty of food and drink for sale and participants sing traditional songs honoring the saint and perform dances around the fire!
The festivities take place January 16th & 17th 2010 in Mallorca - come join the fun by reserving a spot with our Imporve Your Riding in Mallorca for the January 17th package and fly in a day early to see the festivities before fine tuning your riding in a little European paradise!
