Day 1: Arrival
We transfer you from Natal airport to your beach hotel in Tibau do Sul. Settle into your room and take time to meet your guide. Then, transfer to the stables where you will meet the owner of this famous stud farm. He will give you information about his award-winning horse breeding program.
Later, you will be introduced to your Mangalarga horse and you will have a riding orientation followed by a short ride.

Overnight in Tibau do Sul

Day 2: Guarairas Lagoon to Lagoa do Carcará                                              
After breakfast, ferry crossing with the horses. Today, our ride starts in Guarairas Lagoon and we head to Malembá beach (in case of high tide, option to ride through the sand dunes). The coastline is beautiful, certainly one of the most stunning tropical places you've ever seen. Before arriving in Lagoa do Carcará you stop at Rio do Pirrichiu (great restaurant/bar) and Cacharia Papary (for drinks). After the ride, you are driven back to your accommodation in Tibau do Sul (about 40 minutes).

Day 3: Praia de Baia Formosa to Praia da Pipa                                       
This morning, you leave the hotel by car to Baia Formosa (approximately 50 minutes). There, we start our ride to Barra do Cunhau where we will take a ferry with horses (on both shores, beach huts with snacks and drinks), on our way to Sibauma. We will cross river Catu on horseback, before arriving at the chapadão de Pipa.

Day 4: Tibau do Sul Ride
Today, we head to the stables by car (10 minutes) and start riding through sugar cane fields and an Atlantic rainforest. Eventually, we join trails leading to Tibau do Sul. Our ride goes through stunning landscapes along the beaches of Tibau do Sul, Cacimbinhas and Madeiro. After lunch at the beach, it is time to ride back to the stables.

Day 5: Umari Ride
After breakfast we meet the horses at the stables and start our ride towards Umari district. We will stop at a typical restaurant to enjoy some regional cuisine along the way. Once we are back at the stables, a special barbecue is waiting for us.

Day 6: Praia de Sibauma Ride                                                         
For our last riding day, we ride to the ancient indigenous village of Catu where we stop for a bath in the river and cold drinks. Then, we ride to the district of Vila Flor, former slave sales warehouse, where we stop for lunch by a lake and visit the old Pelourinho (where slaves were stored and traded).
In the afternoon, we continue riding until we reach one of the oldest Quilombos in Brazil, on the banks of the Rio Catu estuary in the Atlantic Ocean (district of Sibauma). We go for a swim before returning to the hotel (15 minutes by car).

Day 7: Departure
After breakfast transfer to the airport.

Riding Level Explained
Beginner A rider who has limited experience, is unable to post the trot and does not canter.
Novice A rider who is capable of mounting and dismounting unassisted, capable of applying basic aids, comfortable and in control at the walk, moderate length posting trots, and short canters.
Intermediate A rider who has a firm seat, is confident and in control at all paces (including posting trots, two point canters and gallops), but does not ride regularly.
D Strong Intermediate
Strong Intermediate An intermediate rider who is currently riding regularly and is comfortable in the saddle for at least 6 hours per day.
All of the above, plus an independent seat, soft hands, and capable of handlinga spirited horse in open country.
Lodging: Standard
Lodging Level Explained
= Facilities in lodges, estancias, haciendas, resorts, etc.
Basic lodging - some with shared bathroom facilities, usually no AC or room service.
Regular standard room - usually with private bath.
 Accommodations with superior comforts.
 = Trips with nights in tent camps. Sometimes the first and last night are in hotels.
