Equestrian tours in Colombia

Colombia

Travel restrictions
Colombia reopened most land and water borders for travel on May 19th 2021.
Limited international flights have resumed to Colombia’s four busiest airports – Bogota, Cartagena, Medellin (Rionegro), and Cali – with international flights to four other airports beginning October 1st 2020.

As of May 1st 2022, visitors to Colombia ages 18 or older will need to provide proof of complete vaccination for entry or a negative COVID test (48 hours in advance of travel for an antigen test or 72 hours in advance of travel for a PCR test). Travelers should be prepared to show their original, physical vaccination card or digital certificate both at airline check-in and when passing through Colombian Immigration.
The vaccination document must include the individual’s full name, date of vaccination, name of the vaccine administered, and the number of doses administered. A photo of one’s vaccination card may not be accepted.
If you completed your vaccination scheme within 14 days before entry to Colombia you will also need to have an antigen test 48 hours prior to arrival or a PCR test 72 hours prior to arrival in Colombia.

Travelers must complete Migración Colombia’s online Check-Mig form  within 72 hours of boarding an inbound or outbound flight from Colombia.

A traveler cannot enter Colombia if the person presents COVID symptoms, has tested positive for COVID, or has been in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID 14 days prior to travel.

The Ministry of Health has announced that all inbound international passengers no longer have to self-quarantine.

Measures taken by the government
On August 24th 2020, President Duque announced the end of national isolation measures effective September 1st 2020. The national health emergency remains in place until April 30th 2022.
There are no longer national prohibitions on intercity or interstate travel.
COVID-19-related restrictions vary widely by department and often by city.

Resolution 692 requires the use of facemasks on public transportation (includes air travel) and at airport and marine terminals. Face masks are required in metropolitan areas with a fully vaccinated rate of lower than 70% and a booster shot rate of lower than 40%. If the fully vaccinated rate is 70% or higher and over 40% of the population has also received a booster shot, facemasks are only required on public transportation and in public transportation stations, health facilities, and nursing homes.
