Petra, Dead Sea and Wadi Rum
Jordan
Jordan
Follow the paths of the Bedouins and experience the diversity of the undoubtedly most beautiful desert in the world. Constantly changing rock formations, sand and sandstone desert in alternating, bright colors make this ride in Jordan a unique experience. The rides lead through impressive canyons and into the Disi Mountains. There is no plan, no map: here one relies on the millennia-old trade routes of the caravans. Other cultural highlights on your trip include: the wide view of the Holy Land from Mount Nebo, the Dead Sea bathing stop - pure relaxation in the world's saltiest water - and a full day to visit Petra, the pink Nabataean rock city and UNESCO World Heritage Site!

Riding Experience
You should have ridden regularly for at least 5 years. We ask participants to be able to control their horse at all paces in open area and to know how to do rising trot canter and gallop.
Pace
Going forward in all gaits with, at times, faster gallops. On average, we ride 5-7 hours per riding day.
Horses
We own about 15 Arabian horses who live in the Wadi Rum desert all year long. They are in good health condition and are used to living and travelling in the desert. Our horses are spirited, clever and sociable. They are easy to control, but like all horses with Arabian roots, they are fast and sensible and ask some tact. They are all different and have their own character.
Guides
The riding guides are Bedouins. Speaking fluent English, they are experienced, know perfectly all the horses, the itineraries, and the desert of Wadi Rum. They know the local culture and are able to make the right decision in case of emergency. A first aid kit is always available.

Seasons
Jordan is blessed with a Mediterranean climate for pleasurable year-round travel. Amman is sunny and cloudless from May to early November, with average temperatures around 23° C (73 F). Rain falls in many areas across the country on higher ground between October and March.
Summer (June to August)
Amman and most areas around the country are not excessively hot, chiefly due to the moderating influence of altitude. Although days in summer can be hot, nights are often rather chilly. The Jordan Valley, the Red Sea Coast and the Eastern Desert can be extremely hot in summer however.
Autumn (September to November)
This time of year usually sees mild temperatures and pleasant weather.
Winter (December to February)
The Jordan Valley and the Red Sea Coast is warm during winter while most of the country can get quite chilly at times. The Eastern Desert can get bitterly cold and dry.
Spring (March to May)
Springtime brings optimal weather and landscape is generally lush with greenery due to the wintery rains.
Note: Jordan is an Islamic country, so in order to suit local behavior, one should keep shoulders and knees covered.
All luggage is transported for you by vehicle.
