Accommodations for Arusha National Park Wilderness Ride

Accommodations
This is a wilderness wide, so nights will be a mixture of farm-stay and camping.

Night 1: The Farm
The farm is an intimate small lodge, is located on a lovingly restored old coffee estate. We accommodate our guests in comfortable, spacious cottages, most of which feature a spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro. We have 5 cottages total: 4 with double beds and 1 family guest house with 2 double and 1 single bed). All cottages have en-suite bathroom, private verandah, early morning tea-coffee service for wake-up-call, and laundry service.

Night 2 & 3: Camping
Spacious tents of 3m x 3.80m are equipped with comfortable beds and linen, private verandah, and en-suite bath tent with toilet, sink and a shower, which the crew fills up with hot water every night.

Room Occupancy
Single supplement fee is waived if the rider is willing to stay in a smaller tent with bath facilities next to the tent.

Internet availability
There is no open Wi-Fi internet access available on Makoa-Farm as there is only a private satellite connection for our office work, with daily limited consumption. So make sure during your stay your will survive without permanent online connection or you may purchase a internet-enabled sim card for your own smartphone/i-Pad which you can get in the next town. Registration by id-card and fingerprints is required if purchasing a local sim card.

Meals
All meals are included from lunch on Day 1 to breakfast on the last day. Meals are prepared fresh and most of the ingredients are produced on the farm. This includes most vegetables, meat, milk and milk products. There will be fresh home-baked bread on your table every morning. There will also be home-made confectionary available in the afternoon. Depending on the schedule, lunch will be served in camp or under a shady tree as a picnic. Non-alcoholic drinks like water, homemade juices, tea, coffee available throughout the day. For safety considerations we will not serve alcohol for lunch if a riding itinerary is scheduled for the afternoon. If no riding then beer or wine can be served for lunch. In the evening there will be sunset drinks, and beer and wine with dinner. Lunch will usually be taken en route at a scenic place (on a hill, under an acacia tree, etc). Breakfast and dinner will usually be taken in camp, depending on the weather and temperature this might be in the mess tent or again at a scenic place near camp.

Dietary Restrictions
We can cater to most dietary restrictions if given prior notice.

This trip includes some wine with dinner and can accommodate special dietary requests.
