Sightseeing Tours
Peña de Bernal
It is recognized as the third largest monolith in the world. Its age has been calculated to be close to 10 million years old. At the viewpoint, you can admire the view of the town of Bernal that arises between the untamed landscape. Enjoy the hospitality of the vendors of refreshing drinks, typical snacks and crafts. Walk up to the top to enjoy the landscape and overcome the challenge your legs face when climbing the rugged surface of solid lava.
Tequisquiapan
This magical and peaceful town with cobblestone streets seems to be sown with majestic buildings and colonial temples adorned with multicolored flowers. Start your tour visiting the Plaza Miguel Hidalgo and admire its portals and its beautiful kiosk. Be dazzled by the white quarry façade of the Parish of Santa María de la Asunción and enter the sanctuary to get to know the baptistery and the neoclassical chapels. Discover the Temple of the Holy Trinity with its simple and harmonious architecture.
In the afternoon immerse yourself in the colors of the Handicraft Market and marvel at unique pieces among the famous furniture, baskets and trays of cane and wicker. Also admire the jewelry set with brightly colored opals.
Querétaro
The city of Santiago de Querétaro, where the Mexican Independence movement initiated, keeps legends and shared histories within its walls. Walk through the historic center between its baroque and neoclassical buildings, winding streets and colonial monuments. Stop at the Theater of the Republic, visit the Casa del Corregimiento and let them tell you about the independence movement. Learn about the baroque treasures of the temple and the ex-convent of San Agustín and get to learn more about the cross carved by the Chichimecas in the Temple of the Holy Cross. Enter the Temple of St. Francis of Assisi, which was the first religious building in the city and enjoy the altarpieces and choirs in the Temple of Santa Clara or the Santa Rosa de Viterbo. Photograph the iconic aqueduct that fed the city with fresh water for decades and still retains 74 half-point arches.
San Miguel de Allende
Considered one of the most beautiful cities in Mexico, it was recognized by UNESCO, with the Sanctuary of Jesus of Atotonilco, as a World Heritage Site in 2008. Its attractive and cosmopolitan appearance make it one of the favorite destinations for art lovers. Among all there is to visit, highlights include its historical and architectural heritage. One of the places you should see is the Parish of San Miguel Arcángel, with its impressive neo-Gothic style that has become the hallmark of the city. Other places to see include the Crafts Market, where you can see local crafts made with metals, paper mache, blown glass and more.
Teotihuacán
The Teotihuacán pyramids are archaeological remains of one of the largest cities from the Mesoamerica era. At this important site, you will find archaeological monuments that were declared a World Heritage Site. You will need a whole day to enjoy the history and mysticism that surround its main monuments such as La Ciudadela, La Calzada de los Muertos, The Temple of the Feathered Serpent, The Palace of Quetzalpapáloltl and of course the famous Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon.
Mexico City
Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the historical center of Mexico City brings together the stages of pre-Hispanic and vice royal Mexico. You can admire the archaeological ruins of the Templo Mayor, as well as its civil and religious buildings from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Seasons
The ranch is situated in a valley at an altitude of 7,500 feet (2,300 m) above sea level and protected by high mountains. This means that the weather conditions are very tempered and the sun shines almost every day (333 days of sunshine per year). The average daily temperature all year round is approximately 22ºC (or 75ºF). However, it is a good idea to bring some long-sleeved shirts or sweaters for the mornings and evenings, as it does get a bit cool before the sun rises and as it sets.
The hacienda is open and operating year round.
Spring (March – May)
Changes take place. Imagine passing by farmers working the fields in the way they have done for generations. See local farmers start to prepare their fields for the corn crops using ploughs drawn by oxen or horses.
Summer (June – August)
Known as the 'rainy season', but is (unfortunately for the farmers here) not really the case. The ranch is located in a valley at an altitude of 7500 feet, which means the clouds can't gather as much as in other regions of Mexico. But there is an occasional shower (downpour) that lasts only an hour or two in the evenings/night . This is just enough to allow all of the usually dormant plants to bloom, creating spectacular vistas of vibrant color with cosmos flowers everywhere. The nights are cool and in the morning a bright sunny blue sky awaits you for another perfect ride..
Autumn (September – November)
Until the dry season begins at the end of October there are still flowers everywhere. As harvest arrives, the local farmers usually let the corn dry until the end of November and then take it in. They use the corn primarily to feed their animals during winter, and they grind part of the crop to make the meal used in the famous Mexican tortillas.
Winter (December – February)
The driest season with practically no rain at all. This means that the fields are very dry, painted a golden color against a brilliant blue sky, and spotted with green cactus and mesquite bushes.
